Founder & CEO
Always driven to go beyond the status quo, Jacek founded Shasta Networks in 2000. Overseeing company growth and business development, client relationships, and contracting is a pleasure, he says, thanks to our highly motivated team and support for clients who deliver excellence in healthcare. With a master’s in Electrical Engineering and career roots in both telecom and HIT, Shasta Networks – a name inspired by the view of Mt. Shasta from his home – is the culmination of his experience building great software, systems and teams. In his free time, Jacek combines creativity with outdoorsmanship through gardening, permaculture and rock formations.
With a BAS in Supervision and Management with a focus in healthcare – and a strong background in health data analysis and HIT project management – Drew joined us in 2017 and has been a pillar of effective leadership at Shasta Networks ever since. He passionately oversees business development, client engagement and process improvement, internally and for our clients. Solving complex workflow issues inspires his ability to think outside the box to deliver optimized results. He is dedicated to growth for our company, clients and team members. Outside of work, he likes woodworking and cooking on his smoker for friends and family. His love of hospitality usually makes him the life of the party.
Director of Technology
With a BS in Computer Programming from Southern Oregon University and a strong passion for helping companies grow, John joined Shasta Networks in 2014 and has followed his dad’s advice of “giving it 110%” ever since. As Director of Technology, he oversees individual teams while continuously planning, researching and helping to develop new and enhanced technologies. SoGood is his chosen surname (yes, there’s a cute story there – ask and he’ll tell you), and when it comes to his ability to ensure the right technology for our clients and company, we believe it fits just right.
Senior Software Engineer
Matt puts his very best into his work because he loves making applications, scripts and tools that everyone will want to use. From Ascent software development to systems and network administration, he lives by the sage advice of Vince Lombardi: “If we chase perfection, we can catch excellence.” Prior to joining the Shasta family in 2016, he earned his private pilot license from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, then his BS in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics from Southern Oregon University. No stranger to the thrill of reaching new peaks, Matt’s 2022 Antarctica trip will complete his dream of visiting all seven continents.
Software Engineer III
From continuously enhancing and expanding our Ascent platform, to creating new tools and scripts that improve support and client integrations, Elijah has been a valuable member of the Shasta team since 2017. A firm believer that all ideas and solutions should be regularly revisited and improved upon, he is passionate about building new innovation that delivers deeper insight into healthcare data flow and its impact on patient safety. Elijah has a BS in Computer Science from Southern Oregon University and, having lived in Spain for a bit in his formative years, Elijah has always followed his dreams. We are glad they led him to Shasta Networks.
Integration Engineer II
Since 2019, Matt has been one of Shasta Networks’ most rockstar problem-solvers. That’s because he truly loves creating and implementing custom solutions, and he views every new challenge as an opportunity for both personal and team growth. His primary responsibilities at work involve implementing client integrations, monitoring and supporting existing client integrations, and automating daily tasks. He has a BS in Computer Science from Southern Oregon University. Outside the office, he enjoys using his technical skills and passion for problem-solving to design and build audio equipment.
Technical Project Manager
Since 2019, Kaitie has been expertly managing implementation progress to ensure on-time, on-budget project completion for all our clients. She serves as scrum master for development, keeping the team agile while also staying on track, and manages client engagement for ongoing projects. With a BS in Mathematics and a minor in Computer Science, she brings a commitment to constantly improve and learn more. An avid musician and performer who also loves roller derby, Kaitie applies that same commitment to excellence and collaboration to her local community stage whenever she can.
Technical Support Engineer
James loves table-top games so much that he spends hours maintaining personal spreadsheets to track his performance for fun – and if that doesn’t tell you something about his affinity for technical accuracy, we don’t know what will! A certified CompTIA Security+ professional and highly skilled engineer, James oversees our internal alerting systems, addresses internal systems issues, and handles client support requests. With two bachelor’s degrees – one in Computer Science from Southern Oregon University and another in Physics from Oregon State University – he joined Shasta Networks in 2020. His motto is, “If I don’t know it, I’ll learn it!”
Sarah loves problem-solving and building strong relationships. As Sales Engineer, she enjoys helping organizations improve internal workflows and build efficiency. Born with a congenital heart defect, Sarah is no stranger to nuances in medical records and patient safety, and she always wanted a career that supports medical care as a way to give back with meaningful work. Having earned a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from San Francisco University, Sarah is thrilled to be part of our small, versatile and efficient company, and she loves connecting with diverse organizations. Client-centric Sarah is an attentive listener who is focused on meeting needs, exploring possibilities and providing support; community is at the core of what she does. In her leisure time, Sarah enjoys hiking, traveling, yoga, and throwing dinner and dance parties with her large extended family.
Martin has a core belief in teamwork as a lifestyle and brings his collaborative spirit and creative problem-solving skills to the Shasta team. His unique background in both tech and customer care makes him a great asset to not only the Shasta team but to our clients as well! His primary responsibilities at work involve implementing client integrations, monitoring and supporting existing client integrations, and automating daily tasks. Outside of work, he enjoys hobbies including woodworking, gardening, emergency preparedness, books, movies, and teaching his daughter to play chess.
