What We’re Made Of

Since our founding in 2000 as an IT consultancy – followed closely by our co-development of the healthcare industry’s first open-source interface engine, and then the industry’s first integration appliance and managed integration services – we’ve always had your best interest at heart. Yes, yours. That’s because we understand the full power and potential of connectivity in your healthcare enterprise, and we are committed to meeting the interfacing needs of every business in the care continuum.

Just as HIT integration is our passion, service is our calling. We develop meaningful, long-lasting relationships with our customers. From the beginning, it’s been in our DNA to listen closely and actively, and to provide solutions built from best practices and top industry standards. As a result, our consistent growth has been fueled by referrals and word-of-mouth praise from those we serve, and even other vendors we work with.

Always Looking Ahead

The future is bright for Shasta Networks. As our technologies evolve in tandem with your needs, we will continue to offer custom solutions and the industry’s most powerful platform for combining secure integration, data-driven decision support and expert Managed Services – all in our client-centric ecosystem. And, we will always be driven by our dedication to customer satisfaction, cutting-edge innovation and service excellence.

Meet Our Team

We are a team of rockstar scientists, engineers, leaders and project managers – and together, we take on your interoperability burdens so you can focus on your core business.

Overseeing company growth and business development, client relationships, and contracting is a pleasure, he says, thanks to our highly motivated team and support for clients who deliver excellence in healthcare. With a master’s in Electrical Engineering and career roots in both telecom and HIT, Shasta Networks – a name inspired by the view of Mt. Shasta from his home – is the culmination of his experience building great software, systems and teams. In his free time, Jacek combines creativity with outdoorsmanship through gardening, permaculture and rock formations.

No stranger to the thrill of reaching new peaks, Matt’s 2022 Antarctica trip will complete his dream of visiting all seven continents.

Portrait of James Compeau, Shasta Networks

James Compeau

SysOps Engineer

James loves table-top games so much that he spends hours maintaining personal spreadsheets to track his performance for fun – and if that doesn’t tell you something about his affinity for technical accuracy, we don’t know what will! A certified CompTIA Security+ professional and highly skilled engineer, James oversees our internal alerting systems, addresses internal systems issues, and handles client support requests. With two bachelor’s degrees – one in Computer Science from Southern Oregon University and another in Physics from Oregon State University – he joined Shasta Networks in 2020. His motto is, “If I don’t know it, I’ll learn it!”

“Shasta Networks brings great value, support and expertise to our company. When we need an interface built, Shasta develops exactly what we need, quickly. I am constantly reminded of the value they bring us when I consider the costs we would incur if we had to supply the resources to manage this ourselves.”

— Jeremy Martin, Vice President, Data Acquisition, SCP Health (Physician Staffing)

“Shasta Networks has provided us with a very cost-effective, full-service solution that allows us to meet the requests of our customers to have test results passed to them electronically. Overall, the solution has been instrumental in enabling us to compete with larger providers.”

— Melissa Sittason, System Manager, Pathology Associates (Laboratory)

“Jacek and his team at Shasta Networks have been incredible to work with. John and Matt were remarkably helpful in channel development standardization to fit some server logistic changes within our environment on a tight timeline. The team was incredibly responsive and professional, often making suggestions outside the scope of our plan to ensure that we accounted for future changes. All work was well documented and delivered as requested.”

— Tony Sciarini, Interface Engineer, MedQuest Associates (Imaging Centers)

“Our staff cannot improve residents’ quality of life by filling out spreadsheets, so automation was the clear answer. With the administrative labor savings, we will achieve full return on our investment with Shasta Networks in a few months – but the ability to keep staff focused on projects that enhance outcomes and experiences, that’s where the real value comes in.”

— Aaron Fields, Chief Information Officer, St. Ann’s Community (Long-Term Care)

— Bryan Harper, ITS Director/CISO, Northern Inyo Healthcare District (Hospitals & Clinics)
